Come and study with Nick at his purpose built studio in Ruislip where you can either join the core curriculum drawing and painting course full or part time tailored to your calendar or why not attend a short workshop covering drawing the figure from life, still life painting workshops and more……

The Ruislip Drawing and Painting Studio is a working studio offering the highest standard of drawing and painting tuition.

We welcome you to come and study with us under the instruction of Nick Hughes. Nick is a working artist and teacher. He has studied at the Barnes Atelier and with Stephanie Mills, Carlo Russo, Dale Zinkowski and Christopher Remmers.

His work has been Exhibited at the Fletcher & Seymour Gallery, Green & Stone, & The Compass and is held in many private collections. Nick’s commissioned book covers have been published worldwide.

Nick will support and guide you along your artistic journey in a small group with consistent, regular supervision and critiques, promoting competence and accelerated learning.

The Ruislip Drawing & Painting Studio works as a traditional Atelier where the student works in the same workspace as the instructor learning directly in an interactive environment.

You will be taught the fundamentals of drawing in the classical realism tradition from the ground up, based on the Bargue drawing school method, which will eventually lead on to tiered painting tuition.

As a student at The Ruislip Drawing & Painting Studio you will cover drawing and painting from master studies, casts, drawing and painting the figure from life (including portrait) and still life.

Our well-equipped studio is a calm, professional space set in a peaceful garden environment making focus and concentration easily achieved.

Due to the intimate and focussed teaching experience offered at The Ruislip Drawing & Painting Studio places are limited but feel free to contact Nick for a no obligation tour of the studio where any questions you may have will be answered.

We look forward to hearing from you and taking your learning journey to the next level.
